E.Ts!

The E.Ts are our Emerging Talents

One of the Studio Choir Program’s objectives is to identify and encourage outstanding prospects from the younger age groups. These are identified from amongst the hundreds of soloist applicants and offered the chance to be Studio Choir E.Ts.

E.T Neve Madden from Scarborough PS works with OBV producer Brendan O’Brien at her solo session in 2021. The Emerging Talent component prepares younger singers for the SCP.

There is no cost involved and as part of this initiative our E.Ts receive,

  • A free recording session in a professional studio working with a producer, singing a song of their choice from the current OBV repertoire and a mix to take home.
  • Recognition on the SCP web page.
  • Invitation and presentation at the SCP launch event.
  • Participation in one SCP recording session at which they will record with the Studio Choir.
  • Participation in elective small-group, ensemble recording sessions.
  • Password access to the private SCP web practice area Practice & Chat. Jump in with us!
  • Automatic exemption through to the studio audition phase of the SCP in when in Year 7.
OBV21 E.Ts learning how to handle and care for headphones at a small ensemble session. Learning studiocraft is part of the SCP.
